1. Wash Hands
So that the steering wheel does not get dirty quickly, make it a habit to clean and dry your hands before holding the steering wheel.
2. Clean the Steering Wheel Every Time You Wash Your Car
Use a slightly damp cloth to clean dust, dirt and oil from the surface of the steering wheel. But afterward, don't forget to dry it with a dry and clean cloth. You can use a cotton, leather or microfiber cloth.
3. Use Leather Care for the Steering Wheel
For steering wheels that are wrapped in leather, use leather care products in the form of cleaners and conditioners. Don't forget to choose leather care products that are not shiny and not slippery. The right care products do not have a shiny effect, but rather neutral and moisturizing skin properties.
4. Park in the Shade
Direct sunlight is one of the main causes of cracks in the steering wheel surface. If you are forced to park your car under the hot sun, use a sun shade to cover the windshield. In addition to preventing damage, this step also keeps the steering wheel from getting too hot when held.
